William D. LohreyWilliam D. Lohrey, CPA is partner in Lohrey & Associates, which was selected by the National Publication "CPA News" as one of the top 50 CPA firms in the United States. Bill holds a degree in accounting from Oklahoma State University and a Juris Doctorate from the University of Texas. His professional expertise covers a wide range including manufacturing, oil and gas, and taxexempt organizations. He is a member of AICPA and OSCPA, and is a Certified Financial Planner.

TEACHING  In the past, Bill has instructed as an adjunct professor of accounting at the University of Tulsa and Tulsa Community College.  He now concentrates his energies on the Fast Trac program, which educates entrepreneurs on the running of small businesses.  Bill is a nationally recognized teacher and facilitator and had won several awards and commendations for his work with the Fast Trac program.  Additionally, Bill educates members of the community by leading seminars for the St. John’s Foundation, ORU, Tulsa County Bar Association, Oklahoma Society of CPA’s, and the Tulsa City-County Library.  He is also a columnist for several business  and accountancy publications .

ETHICS: Bill Lohrey has worked throughout his career to strengthen ethics in the field of accounting.  He has served on the AICPA National Executive Committee on Ethics & Behavior, as the first chairman of the Oklahoma Board of Accountancy Sub-Committee on Ethics Investigation, and as chairman of the OSCPA’s Ethics Committee.  Reflecting Bill’s commitment to ethics, the Accounting Department at Oklahoma State University selected Lohrey as “2002 Distinguished Accounting Alumnus.”

SMALL BUSINESS ADVOCACY  Under Bill’s guidance, Lohrey & Associates was recognized by Oklahoma Governor David Walters as the 1994 Small Business Financial Advocate of the year and was selected by Small Business Administration as regional 1994 Small Business Advocate of the year for the Southwestern United States.  Bill was elected as a delegate to the 1995 White House Conference on Small Business,   and in 1996, he was selected by the Governor for the small business task force to construct favorable legislation.  In 1997, Bill co-authored a program for emerging small manufacturers’ tax benefits education.  Bill is currently co- chairman of Governors Committee to review all Economic Incentive Programs.

    Kathleen C. Lohrey, CPA was a partner in Lohrey and Associates from 1988 to 2005. She was in public accounting for over 20 years and served as controller and Vice President/Chief Financial Officer for two well established oil and gas exploration and production companies. Kathy also trained client and firm employees in the use of automated accounting procedures, primarily software for accounting, inventory management, and job costing and oil and gas operations.


    Kathy received her B.B.A in Accounting from the University of Oklahoma. She was a member of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants and the Oklahoma Society of Certified Public Accountants. She was an active member of the board of the Parent Child Center and has served as President, Secretary, and Treasurer. She was also Treasurer of the Childrens Services Leadership Board and of Southminster Presbyterian Church.

     

     

    Danna S. Wall, CPA has been with Lohrey and Associates since 1995 and has over 25 years experience in Public Accounting. She works with clients in the areas of trust and estate preparation and planning, tax planning, compliance and representation before the Internal Revenue Service. Danna has experience with a variety of industries including small manufacturers, real estate developers, physicians, attorneys, and family groups with extensive business holdings.


    Danna received her Bachelor's degree from Central University in Edmond, Oklahoma and her Masters of Science in Taxation from Oklahoma State University. She is an active member of the board of Homelife Association and is a member of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants, Oklahoma Society of Certified Public Accountants, Tulsa Chapter OSCPA, the Tulsa Estate Planning Forum, Oklahoma Academy of Collaborative Professionals and the Tulsa Midtown Rotary.

     

     

    Jay D. StallsmithJay D. Stallsmith, CPA, CFP is a graduate of Oklahoma State University with degrees in accounting and finance. After graduation, he spent three and one-half years with Ernst & Young, LLP serving primarily SEC audit clients. He has been with Lohrey & Associates since 1996, specializing in closely held entities and their related individuals' tax planning and compliance needs. He has served a variety of industries, with an emphasis in manufacturing, real estate, energy, and service industry clients. Jay is a member of the AICPA, OSCPA, Tulsa Chapter OSCPA and various community organizations.

     

     

     

    Lisa Neely Martinez, CPA is a graduate of Oklahoma State University with a Bachelor of Science in Accounting and a Master of Science in Taxation. She has been with Lohrey and Associates since 1997. She works primarily with closely held entities and individuals in areas of tax preparation, planning, and compliance. She has experience with a variety of industries including real estate developers, physicians, attorneys, oil and gas exploration/production, small manufacturers and consultants. Lisa is a member of the AICPA, OSCPA, and the Tulsa Chapter OSCPA. She has served as President of the Desk & Derrick Club of Tulsa. She was President and Treasurer of Metro Tulsa Career & Professional Women's Club and is currently serving as President for the Oklahoma Federation of Business Women (OBW).

     

     

    K. Rae Hodo, Accountant is a graduate of Northeastern State University, with a Bachelor of Business Administration in Accounting.  She also earned an Associate of Science in Computer Science from Tulsa Community College.  Rae has been with Lohrey & Associates since 2005, where she is “learning the ropes” of public accounting and pursues an M.S. in Accounting.

    Rae was the recipient of the 2006 Workforce Oklahoma Outstanding Achievement Award.

     

    Shelly J. Gamble, CPA joined Lohrey & Associates, PLLC in March of 2009 and has over 25 years experience in Industry and Public Accounting. Her 17 year career with Ernst & Young, LLP was centered primarily on the oil and gas industry, manufacturing, and hospitality. Shelly served as a SALT Mind for the Southwest Area of Ernst & Young where she focused on state and local tax compliance. Her emphasis on SALT provided her the opportunity to travel to the EY Bangalore, India shared services center in 2003. During her two month assignment she established and coached the newly formed SALT team in Bangalore. In private industry she was employed as the Tax Manager for a wholesale distributor who was owned by an international parent. She successfully streamlined processes within the tax department for compliance with payroll, sales tax, property tax, and income tax compliance. Throughout her career, Shelly has successfully represented clients with the IRS and various other taxing agencies. She currently serves clients of Lohrey & Associates in the areas of oil and gas exploration and production, manufacturing, healthcare, real estate, and other service industries. She also has assisted closely held entities and their owners with tax planning and reorganizational transactions. Shelly is the Manager over the accounting department of Lohrey & Associates. She is responsible for client services as it relates to financial statement reporting in either a Compilation or Reviewed format.

    Shelly attended Phillips University in Enid, Oklahoma. She is a member of the AICPA, OSCPA, HFMA, OHFMA and the Tulsa Chapter OSCPA. She currently serves as Secretary for the BlueMasters (local Toastmasters club) and Treasurer for Pro-Net (Tulsa Chamber networking group). She and her husband Dan are members of All Souls Unitarian Church.
